County Commissioners need to hear from us, now!

This Tuesday, on the day our park is set to close, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will have its regular weekly public hearings, starting at 8 am, and any member of the public who wishes to address the board may speak for three minutes on any topic they choose.

The hearings are held in Hearing Room 1 on the main floor of the Jeffco Administration and Courts Facility (also known as “the Taj Mahal”), at 100 Jefferson County Pkwy. in Golden. Please consider attending this meeting and letting the commissioners know exactly how you feel about Jeffco Open Space and its decision to close the park. Go to Jeffco BCC Meetings for more information.

Immediately after the public hearings, the commissioners move into staff briefings, in the 5th floor BCC Conference Room. On Tuesday, Matt Robbins, Community Connections Manager for JCOS, is scheduled to speak about parks. The briefings are also open to the public.
